SS Osmund & Andrew’s pre-school nursery (known as Foundation 1) accepts children from the term after they turn three years of age, if places are available. Registration of Interest forms for Foundation 1 are available from the school office or can be found below.

Session Times and Prices

Foundation 1 Session Times

Funded full-time sessions are from 8.45am to 3.15pm - currently charged at £20.00 per week

Unfunded full-time sessions are from 8.45am to 3.15pm - currently charged at £90.00 per week 

 

Dinner

Pupils have the option to bring a packed lunch or to pay for a school meal. Current school meal information can be found here.

Uniform

Children in Foundation 1 are expected to wear school uniform and must not wear any jewellery.

Foundation 1 Curriculum

We believe that children learn best through play and follow the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. This focusses on the three prime areas of learning most essential for children’s readiness for future learning and healthy development. The prime areas are:  Communication and Language;  Physical Development;  Personal, Social and Emotional Development. As children grow, the prime areas will help them to develop skills in Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design. Children learn by playing, exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking, which takes place both indoors and outdoors.
